FIVE

It hit me last week that The Brunette One just turned five years old. Where does the time go, how can I have been blogging for five years? I remember starting this blog and not having any idea what I was doing or what I would write about, just a place to document daily life while I searched for my first job post-college. Little did I know what TBO would turn into and where it would take me over the course of five years. Two trips to blog for WWDMAGIC in Vegas, one trip to NYC for Fashion Week, multiple speaking engagements, freelance jobs, amazing collaborations with brands that I adore, and above all, some of my best friends!

I’m finally back from vacation and a crazy start to the summer has come to a close (weddings, vacations, weekend trips, etc.) and ready to buckle down and get back to blogging (especially about fun things like new recipes, house décor, and DIYs). Have a topic you want to see me cover, is it fashion, styling, or home décor related? Let me know in the topics below! I’m open to reader suggestions!

Thank you for your continuous support over the past five years, this space wouldn’t be what it is today without you! Here’s to the next five!

Congrats on 5 years! Its been fun to see all your adventures as you’ve grown TBO. I have a reader request, something VERY important has been on my mind lately… and that…is how TERRIBLY BAD I need to clean out my closet and revamp my wardrobe (mostly to be work friendly…) Have any rules/tips to follow when cleaning it out in hopes that I don’t actually just keep everything? Then, of course, how do I prioritize the things I need to fill it back up? What are the staples, what is worth spending a little more money for, etc?
