On My Nightstand

 the royal we

It’s been awhile since I’ve dedicated anytime to one of my biggest passions in life, reading. I recently downloaded the Audible app to help me get through some PowerPoint training at work. One of the first books I downloaded was The Royal We. While I’ve always prided myself on being a fast-paced reader, it was nice to truly enjoy the novel while managing to get some things done while listening. Multi-tasking isn’t for everyone, but I found myself listening to it before I would go to bed or just lounging on the couch – I needed to know what happened next!

I highly recommend The Royal We if you have a girl crush on Kate Middleton or just find yourself wishing you (slightly awkward, beautiful American studying abroad at Oxford) had the most adorable meet-cute with a man who happens to be the future king of England, NBD. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a sequel.

I won’t be adding too many books to my audible account, they are very pricey and you can’t directly download books from the app, you have to do it via their mobile website, but still easily managed. I need to stick to my Kindle, but for what it’s worth, I love how user-friendly the app is.

Next on my list is Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen, a YA novel, but she was one of my favorite authors growing up and I’m excited she has a new book out, along with the author of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, Ann Brashares’ novel, My Name is Memory.

the girl on the train

On my nightstand I still have to get through The Girl On The Train, I saw someone’s recent blog post that there is a movie already created based on the book on Netflix, so that is some motivation there to get that devoured.

What’s on your nightstand, any must reads for summer?
