When I saw an email from Lovevery in my inbox, I was immediately giddy! I’ve been following their brand for years and already purchased and used their Lovevery Play Gym for Lucy when she was an infant. If you you haven’t heard of Lovevery, they are a toy subscription service that offers curated play kits for your child every 2-3 months, in addition to their play kits, they also offer additional Montessori based toys such as the play gym, a playshelf (with *genius* hidden storage), a collapsible tunnel, and more . Their play products are designed by child development experts, researchers, and specialists to provide exactly what your child needs at each stage developmentally! If you are a parent worried about aesthetics, they happen to be very easy on the eyes!
They generously gifted us a play kit for Lucy, The Babbler for ages 13-15 months, and the Block Set for ages 18 months+. To be honest, Lucy, 15 months, and Jack, 3.5 years old, love both the blocks and play kit sensory toys equally. The beauty of Montessori toys is the invitation for open-ended play that encourages the use of their imagination. The products are simple, but they are definitely not basic. The toys are also sustainably made and natural which means they are not only safe for your children to play with, they are good for the planet too!
Lucy’s Babbler Play Kit included a Slide and Seek Ball Run, Flexible Wooden Stacker, a Coin Bank with multiple lids, Circle Puzzle, Bunnies in a Felt Burrow, a Bedtime Board Book, and a play guide to prompt ideas for how to play during this stage of her life. The play guide is fantastic in my opinion because it not only shows you how to interact with the toys provided but offers other activities and crafts you can do with your little one with supplies you may have lying around your home!
The Block Set is VERY popular with my son, Jack. The box comes with 70 heirloom quality pieces that you can create over 20 sage-based activities, but truly the possibilities are endless because whatever they want to imagine, they can bring it to life. Just last night my son was watching a rock ‘n roll documentary and the blocks container and two of the flat wood building planks became drum sticks (see the Instagram Reel here), and then he designed a guitar for me to play along in his imaginary band! Lucy doesn’t miss out on any of the fun, she’s working on picking up the pieces and stacking them, watching them tumble and doing it all over again.
I cannot recommend Lovevery enough to anyone looking for quality and thoughtful gifts for the littles in their lives. These toys can be passed down to younger siblings, make easy gifts for birthdays and holidays, and won’t be passed over for the next big ‘fad.’ I cannot wait to order the next play kit for Lucy, that’s what is on her Christmas list, which makes my shopping list very easy to manage! They even made play kits for the toddler stage, so Jack may or may not be also getting a play kit come December! :)
PS. Lovevery just announced that they’ve designed and launched a collection of toys at TARGET! I repeat, TARGET! So if you wanted to check out a few similar items to what you’d find in a play kit, you can shop individual items now available at your local store or online!
