If you see a lot of our living room on my blog, there’s good reason for it. It’s one of the spaces in our home that we utilize the most. Right now, we have a baby gate and then blockade the other entrance with a big square pouf to keep Jack contained. It’s the one space where he can run free and make a mess, I mean memories, with all of his toys. : )
It was one of the first spaces we decorated after we moved into our home and it’s stayed pretty much the same ever since. It’s the only room that maintains the original wall color, but after looking at taupe walls for far too long during this never ending winter, I decided it was time. During one of our many snow days, I decided to paint an accent wall behind our couch. I went with Salamander by Benjamin Moore and had it color matched at my local Sherwin Williams.
I still have three other walls to paint. The rest of the walls will be painted Revere Pewter to match the rest of the main floor. That will come in time, or a weekend where I can send Jack off to his grandparents so I can have full access to the space without him crawling in and over everything!
I also want to update the side table for our accent chair, I repurposed our original table and pouf to Jack’s nursery and never updated those two accessories. We’ve been through a few rugs in the space, but Lola loves to mark her territory, so my wish list contains removing the carpet and putting in some type of vinyl flooring with a rug along with Jack’s foam mat.
Here are a few things on our (my) wish list:
Pink Pillow |Gray Pillow| Side Table | Blush/Grey Rug | Paint (Green/Gray) | Pouf | Lamp
I love how spaces evolve over time and if you feel that it’s ready for a change, why not start making those changes to truly enjoy fall back in love with your home?!
