I know I’m not the only one wishing winter away. We’ve had yet another snow storm/blizzard conditions and safe to say that Groundhog can go back to where the sun doesn’t shine. So while we still have a foot of snow on the ground, I’ll be over here dreaming of warmer weather, tropical beaches, and lots of sunshine. We actually have a trip planned in May to celebrate our friend’s wedding and our 5th wedding anniversary to Mexico. No time like the present to start dreaming of my vacation wardrobe!

I recently purchased a few accessories for our trip in May including some new flip flops (I had an identical pair that lasted me YEARS but the strap finally broke while I was in Home Depot over the summer. I purchased super glue to keep wearing them, but I finally had to throw them out — haha). I also am very into headbands and picked up this leopard print hair accessory. I got so many compliments when I wore it last week! I never make the time to do my hair anymore, so it’s easy to throw in my hair to look somewhat pulled together!
I’m dreaming of a few swimsuits to purchase for the trip, I haven’t really been in a swimsuit since pre-Jack, so it is a little intimidating looking bikinis right now. I’m leaning towards one-pieces and high waisted two piece sets. My c-section scar is covered in most of my existing swimsuits, but honestly, I would feel personally more comfortable in something with a little more coverage!
I’m also looking for a few light springy/tropical dresses for our trip. Again, I haven’t really worn a ton of dresses in the past year because most of what I own is not breastfeeding friendly. My goal is to have Jack weaned by the time we travel (he won’t be going on the trip…this is a Mom/Day trip only) so that opens up a ton more options for dinners and for the beach wedding!
