Des Moines Home + Outdoor Living Show

With the hints of spring we’ve been experiencing, Cody and I have been brainstorming our plans for our exterior house updates. We’re planning to add a patio with a fire pit, update the deck (swap out the wood for metal balusters), and depending on costs, add a fence. So what better way to find inspiration then heading to our local Des Moines Home + Outdoor Living Show the weekend of March 11th?

I can’t wait to hear from the speakers scheduled to be at the Home + Outdoor event like The Beekman Boys and an appearance from HGTV’s Property Brothers talking about home renovation and remodeling tips (hmm…yes, please!). We are in the early stages of planning our backyard oasis so it will be a great place to source ideas, budgets and companies that we may need throughout the process…especially with landscaping. We don’t have an ounce of landscaping and I’m itching to find some low maintenance plants for our front and back yard and maybe even start a small veggie garden (let’s be real…maybe just finding the right spot to pot a tomato plant).
