On My Radar

While posting has been sporadic recently, I’m still keeping up on reading my favorite blogs and pinning away on Pinterest. A trend that keeps coming up, and to be honest, one that has taken awhile for me to come around to, is the ‘bandana scarf’ accessory.

To me,  the bandana came off as people trying to hard to make it happen as ‘trend,’ sort-of like trying to make fetch happen, it just wasn’t going to. However, I will eat my words, because just this afternoon over my lunch break I picked up a 2-For-1 pack of bandanas at my local target. I haven’t had a chance to style the bandana yet but the versatility this accessory lends to one’s wardrobe is easy to take note. Try an edgy vibe and pair with a leather skirt and casual sweatshirt, if preppy is more in line with your style, try the nautical vibe and wear with stripes. You can things up a notch and pair with a midi dress and heels. With so many options, I can see this as an accessories trend that has some staying power.

I love the neckscarf look! It’s very playful with the bandana. I have a skinny Alexander McQueen skull scarf that is perfect around the neck or as a headband. I was just playing around with it the other day. It feels to french and fresh!
